SixPak and CUE Radio Springboards Cancelled

Posted By: Ed on Tuesday, February 06, 2001 11:44:35 AM

One of the most anticipated Springboard modules, the InnoGear SixPak, has been cancelled. As the InnoGear product page says, "Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Six Pack Combo product will not be offered." The SixPak was going to combine a modem, a voice recorder with speaker, two kinds of alarm, and 8MB of Flash memory.

Customers who pre-ordered the CUE Radio from Amazon have been sent e-mails saying, "We are sorry to report that the release of the following item has been cancelled: 'Cue Radio Springboard Module for Handspring Visor'. Though we had expected to be able to send this item to you, we've since found that it will not be released after all."

However, the CueRadio site doesn't say anything about the product being cancelled.

The CUE Radio allows users to listen to music from FM stations and receive wireless Internet broadcasts containing news headlines, stock quotes, real-time sports, weather, and more.

Don't worry 'cause the TWELVE pack is commin' soon!

...And this one has everything the 6'er had plus all these:
CarJumper-- Battery dead on your Datsun B210? No problem! Plug the optional "Cigadapter" in & give'er a crank!
DSLModem-- Hook it up to your office, your home, or your neighbor's home DSL Line for infinite bandwidth (current FCC regulations limit upload speed to 53K)
Swingline'er-- Just like the one that sits on your desk, this is the world's first Palm Stapler!
CDRW-- OK, it only works on mini CDs but still, Cool huh?
Cigar Cutt'er-- Hey we know how trendy these Cancer Sticks are.
Cigar Lighter-- Won't work on cigarette's 'cause those are bad for you; and we'd have to tell you about the surgeon general's warning and there just isn't enough room on the package for that silly-ass stuff.

Wait?! What's that? I'm receiving a fax on my "Wireless Pencil FAX". Oh No! It seems:
"Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Twelve Pack Combo product will not be offered."
Damn it!
