Handspring has entered into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor. The deal will help Handspring develop a system of value-added resellers (VARs) who can focus on selling Visors and Springboards in the corporate market. "We are seeing great demand for our products in corporate America. As a result of the Visor's easy configuration capability and plug-and-play expandability these products really appeal to businesses in enterprise and vertical segments," said Greg Woock, VP of North American sales. "We plan to bring on a targeted and proven set of reseller partners that enable us to better serve the needs of these customers." In a related story, the company today announced the formation of the Handspring Foundation, a fund established to support organizations and programs dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. Created primarily by a donation of Handspring stock, the fund enables Handspring to share its success by awarding cash grants to charitable organizations. Guidelines and grant applications are available.

They don't sound too serious with regards to the corporate market, the way Palm and Pocket PC folk are. Just sounds like they outsourced some sales folk to target corporate consumers. No mention of an internal force focused on corporate people, or any new solutions aimed at corporate users.
