Bar Code Scanning Springboard Introduced

PSC Inc. has introduced the Momentum II bar code scanner Springboard. Aside from its bar code scanning abilities, it also has 2 MB of memory. It comes pre-loaded with a bar code scanning app and FileMover, allowing out-of-the-box scanning capabilities and backup or transfer of files to the module's flash memory or a PC.

It features a bright 650nm laser, which will scan accurately in a multitude of lighting conditions, including both indoor and outdoor.  It is also capable of decoding and autodiscriminating all of the most popular symbologies.  

"PSC's new Momentum II scanning module is a compelling solution for the enterprise marketplace,'' said Rita Sharma, Developer Relations Manager for Handspring. ``Momentum II coupled with Visor has the capability to reduce supply chain costs and increase efficiency for our customers.''
