Palm has lowered the price on it's former flagship model, the Tungsten T, by $50. Palm is now also offering a free Veo SD camera and free shipping with the purchase. For a brief period today, the PalmStore was advertising a $199 price in error. The Tungsten T is now down to $299, it was last reduced to $349 back in May. This is the third round of price cuts for the former flagship model. The Tungsten T debuted in October 2002 at $499.
The T|T can be purchase from the PalmStore, or you can search for the lowest price with our price comparison service. The Tungsten T2 remains unchanged at $399. Thanks to Lucky Bob for the tip.

Palm must have been making some serious money on the TT if they can afford to drop it by $200. RE: Wow
They're phasing it out, remember? Regards, Eric Allen Need solutions? Get answers at the PalmGear Knowledge Base! http://palmgear.mykbpro.com/ RE: Wow
If the TT does hang around for more than just a phase out, how will it compare with the $199 TE slated for the fall?

Doesn't seem so noteworthy considering many of us were able to buy a Tungsten T2 for $300 (from Dell) a couple days after it came out. acm RE: T2
But this is the MSRP - that means you may be able to find T|T for $250 street.... pretty good... RE: T2
Overstock is generous. Last I heard, they were selling refurb NX70v's with the only thing refurbished about it was a cradle or some other accessory with the actual unit brand new. I'm not sure if it applies to the TT or not, but I have heard a lot of good things about them. -Bosco RE: T2
Count me as one of their satisfied customers. Just received my third Palm from them, and you would be hard pressed to find any difference between it and a new one (except for the packaging). It was just in time, as it was an M130 to replace a basic Zire without a backlight. A Palm without a backlight during a power outage is no fun! The kids stayed up till 2am having a "Palm-fest", and the neighbors probably wondered about the source of that strange glow on the living room ceiling.

With a price point like this, the Dell Axim is on the defensive. I think I'll get one more here. RE: Axim attack
Toshiba is dumping their E355 for $199 right now. Dell is preping the X3, a sub $199 model. RE: Axim attack
The audio problem was fixed a long time ago, most owners I know never had any digitizer problem, and it's been one of the more stable devices I've had. Your point is well taken though, the Toshiba had no such problems (with the exception of OS complications which had nothing to do with the good hardware design). Palm sent a T2 for $199!digital330 @ 8/21/2003 10:34:20 PM #
Palm sent a brand new T2 to many of us who ordered the T1 at $199 price. Now that was very generous of Palm :)
