SnapperMail Fortifies Features for New Release

SnapperMail v2.1.0 has been released recently and improves upon and adds to previous releases. New additions include, smaller fonts, 12x faster IMAP and support for AOL Mail. You can also configure SnapperMail to work with GMail's new POP3 access.

SnapperMail 2.0 The latest version of SnapperMail is now version 2.1.0 (third update in the last 2 months). Improvements over 2.0.4 include:

12x faster IMAP syncing over v2.0.4
AOL Mail is now supported, including other non-SEARCH compliant IMAP servers
Smaller fonts (in LoRes and HiRes) to improve message readability.
Wider support for IMAP servers
CRAM MD5 Authentication for POP3 and IMAP
UI refinements and bug fixes

SnapperMail 2 is priced between $29.95 and $59.95 [BUY], depending on edition. Currently there is a 25% upgrade discount for owners of version 1 wanting to switch to version 2 or users wanting to crossgrade to a newer edition. Palm GMail Access
Google's GMail POP3 access rolled out last week and has been successfully tested with SnapperMail Premier and Enterprise Editions (SSL is required so Standard and Lite Editions are incompatible). Does it support multiple email accounts and can it check email using the 802.11b on my Sony TJ-37?

yes to the multiple accounts.

it should work over wi-fi. if you can can on the net, you should be able to use SM.

Felipe is correct on both counts. I think the limit is about 34,000+ accounts and/or folders total, but I only have about 7 accounts setup on mine.

As for wi-fi, there will be no problem unless there is a firewall or some other obstruction between your Sony and the mail server. Also, some mail services restrict services if you are not connecting via their own ISP. For me, I know personally that SnapperMail work via cellular GSS, GPRS, cellular ISDN, BT access points, BT connecton sharing through a wi-fi laptop, and our corporate LAN both onsite and remotely via VPN. I have not tried it through our DSL home network, as it's only been up for a couple of days now.

Bet it still doesn't offer any compatibility with printing software :-(. Sigh! This is a real pain working away from home.

I've never considered IMAP to be an "Enterprise" class feature, but SnapperMail only offers it in their absolute-top-tier package that retails for $59.95.

Are there any mail programs for Palm that support IMAP and cost less? I really don't care about JPEG Photo Viewing, Zip Viewing, Sending Handwritten Notes, Rich Text, or Memory Card Storage.

Palm's own VersaMail (MultiMail) supports IMAP(S).
