mVoice 5.5.7 Update Released

mVoice for Palm OSA new version update, 5.5.7, has just been released by MotionApps for their popular mVoice call recording + voice memo app. This new update is a bugfix release due to the more substantial changes made in earlier 5.x versions. Dated 10/20/08, the mVoice release notes page lists the new version's improvements as: "Fixed autostart issue when recording phone calls with compression during recording."

mVoice for Palm OS is available now for $19.99, and has just been reduced $5 from the former $24.99 price. It is also available for Windows Mobile devices. You can also read my previous mVoice review of version 5.0.

I have attempted several times over the past few days to download the update onto my Treo 755p running mVoice 5.5.6 using the program's built-in auto updater feature. However, the program comes back with a notification that I am already running the latest version of the software. If you want to install the latest version on your device, you can access it from the PIC mobile product page.

Assuming MotionApps gets this little hiccup resolved, registered users of earlier 5.x versions of mVoice will be able to download the update for free using the auto updater. As always, some kind of SD/SDHC memory card is required for storing audio files.

"Assuming MotionApps gets this little hiccup resolved.." - Hi Kris, tnx for bringing this to our attention, we apparently missed it. It has been fixed now and any customer with v5.5.6 will be notified that a new version is available.
