No WordPress

Yeah, I actually went and looked at the site.

Strange that it doesn't do WordPress (.com, not self-hosted .org).

And I just looked here:

http://www.cellspin.net/forum/sites/21/

That's WordPress .ORG they mean, not the free .COM service I use.

Anyway, has anyone gotten this software and tried it?

Yo, Gekko, you have a brand new Centro. Why not set up a free test blog over at Blogger (I'm sure you already have a gmail account, right?)? You can show it all off for us here. Be a credit to the community for a change!

I just tried to run this on my Centro. I made a test post to Blogger, then tried to get out. Pressing the Home button did nothing. There's no Exit command in the menu. Then everything froze and I had to pop the battery. Not exactly worth it!

Ouch. What did you post to Blogger? And the YouTube video here doesn't show posting text. I wonder how that's like?

Oh, according to that video, you were supoosed to be sent a mobile ad. Did you get an ad? Maybe that screwed up things.

Oh and the post didn't even go through. (I tried plain text.)

I am also stymied - it's not very clear how to post from this thing. Nothing seems to happen - it would be great if the programmers had put in some upload progress indicator. If you try to exit the app early then you get a warning prompt.
Not a very happy experience IMO

At least you guys managed to login. I gave it a go and just sat there on the login page, doing nothing. Didn't freeze up though.... just didn't do anything at all...

Hi,

Thanks for all your comments!

This is the first release of cellspin client for palm. We have been working on fixing bugs.

For the login I would suggest to check upper case/lower case of the user/password.

Please provide detailed description of the problem, service provider details and device details.

We would suggest to keep the configured publisher name (on the server) small(<20 chars) to avoid these problems for the current version.

Thanks,
CellSpin Team.

cellspin:

Device details: Unlocked Treo 680, Optus Australia

Upper/lower case is correct, it just doesn't login for me. Not sure why. One "bug" you may want to fix is the automatic uppercasing of the first letter of the login and password - maybe either turn it off, or show the standard indicator icon that appears in other apps?

Another thing they might want to fix is the ability of people to contact them:

Is any freakin one AT ALL using this?

Hey, Ryan, where's the PIC review?! Not that I give a damn what with the iPhone and an upcoming WordPress client, but still, I have curiosity, dammit.
