I hate to break it to you but Palm started releasing WinMob devices over two years ago. Unfortunately, that is what it's come to. Considering the current state of affairs with the Palm OS platform, I expect to be covering a lot more of the other platforms that Palm is working with - Windows and Nova in the the future. Gek; I think I can field this one for R. AFAIK he uses a combination of an iPhone and an unlocked white Treo 680 for his daily purposes. I think the iPhone gets most of the use nowadays. You know R's a big Apple/Mac fan and keeps trying to get me to buy a Mac Mini or an iPhone to "play" with. But building a Hackintosh is much more up my alley.
You know, maybe it's just the weather, but I'm really becoming a Doubting Thomas here over this whole Nova thing. Palm has ZERO momentum or positive buzz going right now. They need to show *SOMETHING*--either an 800w, some "leaked" 800w specs or a preview of the latest build of Nova. Otherwise, I, you (and many other Palm pessimists) are going to determine that there basically *IS* no Nova as far as a tangible OS. It's starting to look more and more like a good ruse to keep the teeming masses at bay while Palm unloads inventory & hoards cash in preparation for...something.

OT: fyi - i just bought this - SanDisk microSD Mobile Memory Kit 2GB http://sandisk.com/Products/Item(2327)-SDSDQ2-2048-A11M-SanDisk_microSD_Mobile_Memory_Kit_2GB.aspx it's a beautiful thing. with all of these memory card size/formats out there (Palm alone uses SD, SD mini, and SD micro) this kit allows you to use all three without buying new cards. i don't know what brand/device i'll be using in the future, but i know i'm somewhat future-proof with this kit. and a bargain at only $24.99 at staples for 2GB. i also feel a little safer about my data not being held hostage under just one format. RE: Wait... is this the right web site
2gb is really still the largest "safe" capacity nowadays. Many devices/manufacturers have not gotten on the SDHC bandwagon and/or don't support capacities larger than 4gb. But really, flash prices have plummeted so much lately, it's not worth stressing about too much one way or another. There's still too much fragmentation in the industry. I'd like to see it settle down to maybe 3 different formats-CF, SDHC, and microSDHC. miniSD, xD and all flavors of Memory Stick need to be put out to pasture ASAP.
