mVoice Treo SoftwareMotion Apps has released another minor update to their mVoice call recording and voice memo app. This is the latest in a continuing series of positive performance and feature improvements to the app. The latest version update bring mVoice up to version 5.5.4. The new version adds the following improvements an added option for starting mVoice main screen upon recording, LED indicator options and other minor improvements and tweaks.

Registered users of earlier 5.x versions of mVoice can download the update using the app’s built-in auto update feature. The app itself is a self-executing installer that requires ~180k of device memory with the full uncompressed app needing ~346k. An SD card is required for storing audio files. mVoice is available now for $24.95 and runs on the Treo 650, 680, 700p, and 755p. A review of the older version 5.0 of mVoice can be found here.

Performance using the new mVoice with default recording settings on an updated 1.10 700p with a 4GB Patriot SD card yielded decent performance with a notable reduction in the lag and stuttering from the earlier version 5.0 of the app. In addition, the application's preferences menu opens a bit faster.
