Palm Canada today announced the availability of the Palm Treo 750 smartphone, the first Treo to run on the Rogers' High-Speed Packet Access (HSDPA) network. The Treo 750 combines the Palm experience of a multifunction mobile phone with a new, powerful Windows Mobile 6 Professional software for email, messaging, web browsing and Office Mobile that lets users review and edit business documents and access corporate data.
The Treo 750 also has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, a bright 240x240 colour touch-screen and support for Bluetooth(R) stereo headsets. The built-in 128MB memory (60MB user available) can be enhanced by using the mini-SD slot to add memory cards of up to 4GB (sold separately), which are great for storing data, photos, music and video. The wireless phone is a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS radio. It supports the 850/900/1800/1900 GSM bands, and 850/1900/2100 UTMS bands. The battery is a removable 1200 mAH Lithium-ion, good for a claimed 4.5 hours GSM / 2.5 hours UMTS talk time, with 10 days standby time.

$699 without a contract? $100 for 2mb of data? Refrakkendiculous. I guess that means we'll be getting the iPhone 1.0 in 2010 for $999 and $100 for 2mb... RE: Too Much Too Late
oh puhleese Gekko
I resent comments like that, especially as I sit here in my igloo that's melting as a result of global warming. And besides, our economy is almost as big as California's! Take that sucka. Better yet, I'll send you a Blackberry.
If you want to make a killing in business in Canada but avoid being charged and convicted for usury, just go into the wireless data business instead, where you can sodomize your customers all you like. If you want rates to come down, just avoid using Rogers' services.
