Palm at 27 Dresses Movie Premiere

Palm's string of cameo appearances in major motion pictures continues. Palm's Paul Loeffler has posted a series of moblog photos to the Palm Corporate Blog from the premiere of the new comedy "27 Dressess". 27 Dresses stars Katherine Heigl, of Grey's Anatomy fame, as a lovesick single girl who is tired of repeatedly serving as a bridesmaid.

The Palm Centro's camera, arguably Palm's best camera yet in a non-rebranded device, was specifically mentioned as being used to blurrily capture pictures at the event. Mr. Loeffler incidates on his blog post that the Treo 755p has a cameo appearance in the new film. "27 Dresses" opens next Friday, January 18th, at theatres across the US.

Interestingly enough, Palm's previous foray on the silver screen came with the Treo 700’s appearance in Heigl’s breakout role in last summer’s smash hit, "Knocked Up", covered here. Previously, the Treo 650 played a small but significant role in 2006's "Snakes on a Plane" starring Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Blanchard as well as being a frequently-used device of Kieffer Sutherland's Jack Bauer character in "24". A Treo 650 was also seen in 2006's film “A Good Year,” starring Russell Crowe, directed by Ridley Scott.

To date, no Palm device has managed to top the Tungsten C’s starring role in 2004's "Little Black Book" That device was shown repeatedly throughout the film and featured prominently on the lobby posters and advertising for the movie.
