PalmSource today at the Euro Dev Con announced the release of Palm OS Developer Suite 1.0, designed to enable the development of next generation multimedia and wireless applications for ARM- and 68K-based Palm Powered devices.

PalmSource Creates New User Groups Resource

PalmSource has announced the launch of the official Palm OS User Group (PUG) Web site on palmsource.com. In addition, PalmSource is launching three new tools, an online calendar, searchable database of worldwide PUGs and a discussion forum, to help PUG leaders manage and promote their user group meetings and connect with other PUG leaders.

RIM Plans Aftermarket Palm OS BlackBerry Software

Research In Motion (RIM) today announced plans to offer an aftermarket BlackBerry Connect software download for the Palm OS from PalmSource. With the BlackBerry Connect software download, customers with existing Palm OS-based wireless devices will be able to sign up for BlackBerry wireless services.

PalmSource Announces Three ODM Partners

PalmSource today announced that GSPDA, Inventec Appliances Corp. (IAC) and Portable Innovation Technology Limited (PiTech) have licensed Palm OS to design and develop Palm Powered smart mobile devices. As ODM partners, the three companies will provide Palm OS original equipment manufacturer (OEM) licensees with a one-stop solution for bringing innovative Palm Powered mobile products to market faster and more efficiently.

PalmSource Reports FY05 First Quarter Results

PalmSource today reported revenues of $18.2 million for the first quarter ended August 27, 2004, as compared to revenues of $17.1 million for the same period of the prior fiscal year.

palmOne Reports Profitable Quarter

palmOne today reported revenue of $273.1 million for the first quarter of fiscal year 2005, ended Aug. 27, which is up 62 percent from the $168.6 million reported during the comparable quarter a year ago.

MDM Releases Three New Titles
