palmOne today announced that Judy Bruner, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will leave palmOne to become executive vice president, administration and chief financial officer of SanDisk Corporation. PalmSource has also announced a new member of its board of directors.

Pretec is demonstrating 7 new SDIO cards at a retail conference in California. Among the products is a WiFi SD and Bluetooth cards that will be compatible with the Palm OS.

Palm OS holds the leading share in the U.S. smartphone market, according to data released by the NPD Group, a retail sales tracking firm. According to NPD's report, U.S. market share for Palm Powered smartphones in February 2004 was more than double its nearest competitor.
