Red Herring has an analysis and commentary on Palm's IPO slated for this week. Palm is doing what big guys like Apple Computer and Netscape could never dream of doing: it's kicking Microsoft's butt. Sales of Microsoft's Windows CE devices lag behind Pilot sales by a wide margin... Palm is a technology company that even a Luddite can love.

Rio de Janeiro PUG Launched!

The Rio de Janeiro Palm Users Group (RJPUG) has officially launched a new web site! As a volunteer organization, the purpose of RJPUG is to serve as a social, networking and information exchange resource for its members. The goal of the group is to nurture the development of a thriving Palm community in the Rio de Janeiro area. The group consists of new users, power users, programmers and everything in between. This article really caught my attention, it's about a new PDA/Cellphone combo from the Symbian consortium. The device is expected in Europe by Christmas and packs telephony, streaming multimedia, Web browsing and Palm-like computing into one slick unit. Watch out Palm!

You consider using your Palm, but the file too big to use notepad, and besides, you would lose all of the formatting. What you need is RichReader by Michael Arena. This doc reader allows you to convert your Word document, which was saved in rtf (rich text format), and view it on your Palm.
