I got a press pass to TechXNY and cornered some handspring people about this rumor. The response was that there is no announcement, and that "the source of those rumors is not reliable" of course, that could just bea red herring

I wonder if the Pro is a piece of junk like the original. I wasted my money on the first one and would not recommend it to anyone.

Could this be the Visor "Snap" that we were so eager to see. Looks like we may have got our hopes up for nothing to spectacular.

I notice it covers the graffiti area

I would prefer that you can use the graffitti area along with the keyboard, especially for special characters.

I guess the advantage of this approach is it's more compact and probably more stable to type on.

I played around with this thing, and I gotta say, it really reminds me of my blackberry. The keys on it are in my opinion quite bad. I had to press firmly, too firmly and it I noticed when doing so, the device squeeked a bit. Maybe they'll fix this in the final product.

OH my god...becky, look at her....Prism.

I have to disagree with Coyote. I tried it too and was *very* impressed! I'd like a version for the m5xxs.

it's weird

I do appreciate those smart engineers try to introduce us a really good thing. But this kind of keyboard just mask the graffitti area, i don't think it's a good idea.I know it sounds strange but " Which part we should hold ?" The PDA body or the keyboard ? If they cannot connected very tightly, either PDA or keyboard
will fly away, and that will be a tragedy...

OH my god...becky, look at her....Prism.

Silk Screen Buttons

I.M. Anonymous @ 7/1/2001 5:53:55 PM #
How do you access the silk screen buttons? Will their be buttons to access them built into the keyboard?

Yes, they run along the bottom row of the keyboard.
