PalmSource has released a preview of the new Palm OS Developer Suite. The suite (v0.1.1) is a new tool chain from PalmSource that provides software developers with a means to develop Palm OS applications for Palm OS 4 and all other versions up to Cobalt.

Sprint and palmOne announced today an agreement to develop mobile enterprise solutions targeted at healthcare organizations. The companies will leverage the Sprint Vision Network, and the Treo 600 to bring third-party applications to market solutions to mobilize healthcare processes, allowing healthcare providers to improve patient care, increase efficiencies and manage costs.

updated Group Sense PDA Limited (GSPDA) today officially announced the G88 Palm Powered smartphone. The new model is very small and lightwight, it runs Palm OS 4.1.2 and includes a 16 bit color screen and built in camera.

PalmGear has announced continuing growth in 2003 to the tune of 169%. According to the online software distributor, the pace of consumer demand for Palm OS software content showed steady growth in Q4 2003 as unit sales rose 29% from October to December and trial downloads increased 5% over the same period.
