Enfora has announced a case that not only provides protection, but wireless connectivity as well. The Wireless Portfolio case features a built in WiFi (802.11b) receiver for mobile internet access.

PalmSource has posted more information on their upcoming developer seminars. The first of which will be held in San Franscisco Bay Area on May 6 & 7th. In addition, the date for the major annual PalmSource conference has been pushed back to February 2004.

A Hewlett-Packard 48SX, 48GX, and now 49G calculator application has been released for high resolution devices. Power48 is a free, full featured Palm OS based HP 48 series calculator emulator. The app is now fully OS 5 compatible with an ARM native core.

Updated Group Sense Limited has revealed more information and specs on two new upcoming Palm OS Smartphones. Both run Palm OS 4.1 and feature very small and lightweight designs. The phones will be targeted at the Asian and European markets.

Handspring today announced a limited time $200 rebate on new Sprint PCS service when they purchase a Treo 300. This doubles the previous rebatem that recently expired. T-Mobile is also offering a $100 rebate on the Treo 270 with the purchase of a new plan.

Work in progressing on a new software driver to enable Compact Flash memory cards to work with Sony Clie models that have the WiFi expansion slot. The driver is currently undergoing beta testing and will work with various CF cards up to 1GB in size. In addition, a patch to enable Memory Stick Pro media is expected soon.

Not to worry, PIC is still alive and well! I was in Paris most of last week in attendance at the Microsoft Euro Mobius 2003 conference. Due to a shorted out power adapter and very limited internet connectivity, I did not have much of a chance to update the site and stay on top of the news, so please excuse our lack of updates the past week. Our regular schedule of stories and breaking news will indeed resume as normal.
