Samsung SPH-i330 Now Available Through Sprint

Sprint and Samsung have announced nationwide availability of the Samsung SPH-i330, a Palm Powered, tri-mode CDMA2000 1X phone. The i300 features Palm OS 3.5, a 256 color screen, 16MB of ram and gpsOne support.

AvantGo Aquired by Sybase for $38M

Sybase, a enterprise infrastructure and integration company, and AvantGo, today announced that they have signed a definitive agreement for Sybase to acquire AvantGo in a cash merger valued at approximately $38 million. Sybase intends to operate AvantGo under its iAnywhere Solutions subsidiary. The acquisition is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2003.

Also, AvantGo has made a beta version of it's Palm OS 5 software available for download.

Metrowerks Releases CodeWarrior for Palm OS v9

Metrowerks has released CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for the Palm OS Platform, Version 9.0. The new release includes comprehensive support for 68K and ARM core technologies to help smooth application developers’ transition to the Palm OS 5 platform.

Kyocera 7135 Smartphone Available...

The smartphone is the follow-up to the QCP 6035 smartphone which Kyocera launched in March 2001. Consumers wanting to purchase the phone can visit any All-Tel retailer or visit the online store at kyocera-wireless.com to purchase a 7135 and AllTel service plan. The phone will retail for $499.
