PC Mall has a page on the
PEG-SL10, a low-end handheld that hasn't been announced by Sony. If this info is correct, it has many of the features typical of Sony's handhelds. Like its current low-end model the S360, the SL10 has a monochrome screen. But unlike the S360, this new model's screen is 320 by 320. It also has a Memory Stick slot and a jog dial. PC Mall is offering it for $150.
Update: PC Mall has removed their listing on the SL10.
Update 2: Sony has officially announced the SL10.

Since Sony released the NR series a few months ago, some users have begun to have problems with its Memory Stick slot. They report that after owning the NR70 or NR70V for a few weeks, it will occasionally lose contact with the Memory Stick on the slot.
When it first begins to happen, this will be be a momentary problem. This means that the user will be doing something unrelated to the Memory Stick when it will suddenly beep like it has been ejected, then beep again and the application launcher will open as if a Memory Stick had been reinserted .

When looked at by itself, Handspring's last quarter doesn't look all that great. It posted a net loss of $15.4 million, or 11 cents a share. This is slightly less than what analysts had expected: 12 cents a share. Still, compared to the same quarter last year when the company posted a loss of $67 million, or 60 cents a share, these results start to look almost good. Certainly investors seemed to think so; Handspring's share price went up 12 percent in after-hours trading. This may have been aided by Handspring CEO Donna Dubinsky's prediction yesterday that her company would be profitable by the end of this year.
