New Keyboard Options for m500 Series
Two companies have recently announced new versions of their keyboards for the Palm m500 series.
TT Tech Limited will soon release the SnapNType mini-keyboard for the Palm m500 and m505. The keyboard clips onto the bottom of the Palm, covering the hardware buttons, and allowing the user to type with their thumbs. It doesn't require a battery and will be available soon for $40.
LandWare will begin shipping the GoType! Pro keyboard for the Palm m500 series and m125 this week. It has a rigid, single-piece design with no complex moving parts. The GoType! Pro has a built-in HotSync port allowing users to HotSync from the keyboard and use it as a second cradle. Included is the software bundle of TakeNote! text processor and WordSleuth thesaurus, a $40 value. The keyboard is available for the special Holiday price of $50.

When you have a Clie shoved up your mouth, you can only talk in vowels.
Why would you sync from the Palm keyboard?
1. You sync with a PC.
2. A PC always has a keyboard.
3. You use the Palm keyboard when you are AWAY from your PC.
1+2+3=????????????????
RE: Why would you sync from the Palm keyboard?
I have a laptop that I take home at nights and on weekends. I leave my Palm cradle in the office as I rarely sync at nights or on weekends. If I had this product, and desperately wanted to do a sync, I could use the keyboard - saving me buying a separte hotsync cable.
