The SD association has released a report that brings together a number of recent analyst projections about the future acceptance of the SD memory format. The groups claims SD will take the lead in 2003 and become the dominant format by 2005.

Multiple reports have surfaced claiming a possible issue with certain SD cards and the Tungsten T3. Some users are claiming that SD cards are losing all data and others become corrupted after use with the T3.
update Palm wants to hear from you if you have experienced a T3 SD card wipe out.

Samsung's upcoming Palm OS 5 smartphone release date has been pushed back. Originally scheduled to ship in the third quarter, now it many not make it to the US until 2004.

Sony has lowered the price of it's high end clamshell handhelds. Both the NX80V and NX73V price tags have been lowered by $50. The NX70 has also been discontinued.

Some of the latest handhelds to hit store shelves already have a few software updates out now. Palm has released two updates for their new fall handhelds the Tungsten T3 and the Tungsten E. Sony also has posted a patch that resolves an issue with the UX series and a few others.
