Sony has officially introduced the CLIÉ TG50 and SJ22 handhelds for the US. The TG50 runs Palm OS 5 and includes an integrated, backlit thumb keyboard and Bluetooth, while the SJ22 is a low cost, $200 model with a high res color screen. Additionally, Sony has announced limited edition color SJ33's.

SonyStyle Hong Kong has announced the Clie PEG-SJ22. The SJ22 is the replacement for the monochrome SJ20. It is practically identical in appearance and specifications to the SJ30 model.

Steve Sakoman, the former Chief Products Officer for PalmSource, has returned to his former employer, Apple Computer, as a vice president. Sakoman recently left PalmSource amid the last round of job cuts.

(Updated) Sony Japan has announced the Clie PEG-TG50. From what we can tell the TG50 runs Palm OS 5 and has a built in Bluetooth, keyboard and flip cover.

Sony has announced that the new Memory Stick Pro format will make its debut sooner than previously announced and at reduced price levels. Look for the faster and higher capacity memory sticks to arrive in stores this month.
