The widely anticipated successor to the QCP 6035 Smartphone, the Kyocera 7135 will be available in April through Verizon Wireless' business sales channels. Verizon made the announcement at the CTIA Wireless 2003 show.

PDAFrance has captured pictures and a few details on a GroupSense Palm OS Prototype Smartphone being shown at CeBit. GroupSense liscensed the Palm OS back in December at a PalmSource conference in China.

A photographer caught pictures of a Sony TV Tuner memory stick accessory being shown at CeBit. Late last year, Sony Japan announced that it has developed some of the smallest TV tuner chips designed for PDAs and other mobile devices. When integrated with a mobile device the user would be able to receive and view live broadcast television.

PalmSource has joined CTIA's Wireless Internet Caucus (WIC) and Leadership Council. The company has also formed new relationships that further align Palm OS with the needs of leading wireless operators and their customers. PalmSource announced deals to bring the Qualcomm BREW platform, to enable wireless delivery of Palm OS applications and is working with Spontaneous Technology to develop secure wireless hotsync's via the sVPN solution.

SanDisk has announced that 512MB and 1 GB SD cards will be available this year at a press conference at CeBit. SanDisk has also debuted 2 and 4 Gigabyte CompactFlash cards and a new MiniSD format. MiniSD was recently adopted by the SD card association as an ultra-small form factor SD card.

CeBit 2003: Samsung has unveiled the MITs SGH-i500 Smartphone which runs Palm OS 5.2, has a high res screen, SDIO and a integrated CMOS camera. The SGH-i500 is similar to the
SPH-i500 already announced, but operates on GSM/GPRS networks instead of CDMA, and packs in a number of feature upgrades.
