MSNBC has an
article entitled: Paper or Palm? Well, if you're here the answer is most likely Palm. In the story two Associated Press reporters — one a Filofax paper fanatic, the other a Palm partisan — explain why they're happy with what they have.

I would like to know how are the thoughts on the fact that the Visor has a static non-upgradeable 3.1 Palm OS. I realize 3.3 is not that far beyond 3.1; but what about the possibility of being stagnate at 3.1 when other Palm OS upgrades may take it farther and farther out? Does this create a severe limitation in your eyes? I have already ordered a Visor a few days ago as my Palm III has seemed to become unstable - that’s another story.. Anyway, the Visor looks promising, but my biggest concern is not being able to upgrade.

PCWorld asks in
this article: Will You Trade On Your Handheld? I sure would, what are everyone else's thoughts? Also in the news today is an
article over at CNN that talks about the pros and cons of the wireless web today. I was also sent two good testimonials from Palm Infocenter readers setting up wireless connections with their Palms and cell phones. Hit the read more button for their wireless palm stories.

ZDNet has an informative series of
articles on the future of the Palm Economy. They discuss and analyze Palms new strategy to shift into the OS business and talk about future competition and hurdles down the line. It's a very good read that pretty much sums up the handheld market to date.

Slashdot featured a story this weekend on some crazy, yet ambitious folks, porting the OpenGL 3D graphics library to the Palm OS. They’re calling it
MiniGL and they already have some functionality and screenshots up.

The device puts 128 different musical instruments and 140 drum sounds into a clip-on module that is about the size of a palm III modem. The device is expected to retail around $200 and should be available this summer.

There are a ton of Palm news stories out there today so here they are in one big blurb... CNET
talks about how Palm is filling its management with lots of ex-Apple employees. They also have an
article on Palms price cooling down after the IPO. InfoWorld is spreading a
rumor that a color Palm VII is in the works for August. Red Mercury did some interesting
experiments on the battery life of the V and the IIIc. ZDNet UK has a
piece on Sun's Star Office suite for the Palm Platform. ZDNET also has an
article on an IBM add-on device that will enable speech recognition in Palm devices.

Don't know what everyone else thinks but the Palm price is just getting rediculous now. The following
