No one thought that last year's craze of inter-aural cellphone implants and inter-cranial pagers could be topped, but they were wrong.  This year, the cutting edge executive is surgically implanting her Palm Pilot directly onto her hand.  Just a few skin grafts and four screws, and the useless left hand now becomes a highly efficient PDA holder.

The Palm Pilot Implant surgery was developed jointly by Palm, Inc. and Johns Hopkins Medical Center after extensive market research by Palm revealed a strong demand. Read more...

It's amazing how I never have to charge the battery - since all the power I need is in my body. This is great - a Palm that would last forever, although it is a bit painful to get it upgraded - I don't mind much. I don't know what I would do without it!

Sigh

I'm all for silliness, but even *on* April 1, fake "news releases" are inappropriate by the media. This is how goofy rumours about the tech industry get started. You're *journalists,* not high-school kids. Please don't try to pass off parody or satire as news.

Stupid.

lighten up

Neslock @ 7/26/2000 12:32:55 AM #
Oh, lighten up. If anyone is gullible enough to take this seriously they're probably spending their time trying to get the cupholder on their computer to stop closing instead of keeping up with Visor news.
