Comments on: Analyst Predicts U.S. Will Take Lead in Wireless Data

Propelled by Sprint PCS and Verizon Wireless and a powerful technological boost from Bluetooth, the U.S. will in 2001 take the lead in wireless data, predicts Wireless Industry Analyst/Consultant Barney Dewey. He also predicts that, by 2002, Bluetooth will make PDAs the preferred way to connect to the Internet when mobile.

Mr. Dewey's report appears in Andrew Seybold's Outlook, a monthly newsletter on Wireless Data.

Leader in Wireless Data? Gimme a break!

Japan has 10 million i-mode users, Singapore is set to roll out GPRS this year, Europe and Asia will have 3G shortly.

I can't even get a signal to make a voice call with Sprint PCS inside most buildings!

Excellent Point...

You stole the words out of my mouth. Up here in Rhinebeck, we're lucky to get a signal at all!
