Comments on: Secure Your Palm with PGPwireless
PGP Security has introduced PGPwireless for PalmOS, which is based on the PGP encryption technology. It provides 256 bit strength encryption, decryption, digital signatures and authentication capabilities to secure information stored and transmitted on PDAs. The product is designed to inter-operate with the user’s desktop to ensure data is secured at all points of entry. PGPwireless for PalmOS will be available in December for $79.

what does this have to do with PGP?

Yeah. What's up with that? There're posts like this from time to time. I always wonder if the problem is with the "user" or some little glitch in the software the Palminfocenter guys use. They remind me of Emily Litella on SNL, "What's this I hear about violins on television!"

I think it is a little of both. The comments page on our AvantGo channel needs a bit of an overhaul. Right now, it is easy to accidentally post a comment to the wrong article. Ryan is working on this. But there are also people who don't try very hard to put their comments in logical places.

I've been reluctant to entrust passwords, etc to other products on the Palm because I'm never sure their crypto will be any good (loud proclamations by some that they use WWII technoloqy doesn't exactly help :). It'll be nice to see something from PGP.
