Comments on: Docs To Go Pro Gets Improved Synchronization

DataViz, Inc. has announced that it has made several improvements to Documents To Go Professional Edition. They have added DocSync to the Windows versions, which allows users to make changes on their handhelds without losing the desktop document's original formatting after synchronization. Formatting attributes, including fonts, graphics and charts remain intact within the original document, and changes made on the handheld file are integrated into the desktop document.

Dataviz's PDF to go just grabs the text.

Adobe's Acrobat Reader for Palm lets you see the full PDF as you see it in any other Acrobat Reader.

I've Beta tested the Acrobat Palm reader and it works quite well. It works better with Acrobat 4/5 documents, but it will work with older acrobat documents.

D.R.

Big deal! It can't use SD/MMC!

See this thread for the latest m5xx "gotcha"!

(If the link is broken, copy & paste it in two parts into your browser. Sorry for pulling people out of PIC temporarily, but I'd rather have people speak for themselves. Less typing for me, too!)

Docs to Go is definately a MUST HAVE product. I'm glad Palm recongnized this and bundled it with the 500 series.

Too many "doc readers" with no clear winner when it comes to converting/viewing Word, HTML, etc with pics/images.

Have I missed something in Doc to Go? Is there a better alternative?

Doc's is still weak.

I found quicksheets to be much more comprehensive. Especially with excel and performing simple automated addition.

Quickoffice is gaining

It looks like dataviz is trying to beef up there program in seeing the recent trends in people choosing Qoffice over Dtogo. I see pluses & minuses to both, but I use Qoffice at the moment.

They both need to incorporate more formatting until either has a great product.

You are right, Quickoffice is better for Spreadsheets, Quicksheets with Quickcharts is the best program of this kind, but the Doc. part is very weak with almost no formatting options.
