Intellisync Wireless?

Hed @ 12/28/2001 10:27:12 AM #
Does this mean they are going to stop making the product that syncs Palm to Outlook/Exchange, etc. or is this wireless thing you cite a separate service?

I have no idea what services Intellisync.com provided.

They make lousy software and charge way too much for updates. Terminate with extreme prejudice.

No they offer a servicesimilar to AvantGo and also make a semi good web browser. Tried it, but not what I needed at the time.

I haven't bought any of their software, but I have Hot Sync Mgr (that came with my Palm) and it works fine for me.

eyemodule 2

I wonder if this is evidence that the eyemodule2 (like the original eyenodule) is more cool novelty than functional necessity. I think it is. The eyemodule seems like a great product for someone who requires easy, quick photos in their daily work (like a Real Estate professional), but for the rest of us, it's a piece of junk with poor resolution, shaky images, and no flash. I can get a far more useful REAL digital camera for less. Here's hoping Palm doesn't make the mistake the Sony's already made by pushing hard for a slot-based camera. It's a lame product.

I wonder how the latest PalmPix is selling...

Hey, ewe must be drinking way too much coffee!
I was able to capture nice steady pics.
Plus, the most recent price point drop makes it
quite easy to swallow the original eyemodule for
$50.00...A quick solution for basic thumbnail
pics. If you think that purchasing any generation
of any sort of eye module will enable you to
capture Ansel Adams-like Reuslts than you're too
limited to call yourself a photographer.

I guess you'll have to wait until Hasselblad teams
up w/PALM :-)

That should be Intellisync.COM

Hey Ed! Thanks for the heads up on this. I gave up on their wireless services months ago when they stopped working then. This was only inevitable. They never kept anything working at a reliable or even occasionally useable level.

I do want to help clear up something though... It should be the discontinuation of Intellisync.COM services (Sync-it, Browse-It, etc...), not Intellisync itself which is the desktop application to allow the syncing between unsupported PIMs and the Palm.

Keep up the good work!

It didn't hit me that that would be a potential source of confusion but you have a point. Change made.
