Fry's Prism units are previously loved units

Fry's has a whole lot of Prism units that are remanufactured, or what they call Previouly Loved. In Oregon they are $199 US each.

What is Fry's? Are they a web-retailer, or are they brick-and-mortar?

I tried to find Fry's online w/no luck. How do you get this deal? Or is it only available in Oregon? Someone please provide further info, because a Prism for $200 anywhere is a good deal!

They are mostly brick and mortar. Go to www.frys.com and they have some kind of deal with Outpost.com. Couldn't find the $200 Prisms here.

Fry's bought Outpost.com a little while ago when Outpost was about to go under. The two have completely separate prices though, almost like two separate companies, and they usually have better deals in the stores.

Fry's does sell some of their products on-line through Outpost.com. A long while ago, Fry's was a warehouse store you just had to go to when you visited Apple as they were very close to each other. Mostly their inventory was hard to find electronic items.

When Increadable Universe went under (Tandy), Fry's took over some of their locations so they could expend out of the San Jose area. I know of several on the west coast, but there may be many more through out the US by now.

Basically, they have every little electronic toy you can think if that you see online, but get to play with it in person... as well as games, software, TVs, and DVDs.

Oregon doesn't have any MicroCenters, but I understand them to be close in product lines.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Buyer beware.

Ever since upgrading to ver 2.0, my scheduled backup does not run completely. It appears that the system sleeps even though the backup is running. And the backup only proceeds while the palm is on. So I have to keep turning it on to keep the backup going. Anyone else having this problem? This is a great backup app--better than the palm backup card because of the schedule/auto backup feature.

Comments appreciated.
