Reason 2: The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
I'll pay the 20 dollars just to be able to play those games on my Palm.
Like the previous poster said, it's a matter of games, not the specs of the original system. NES games were written 10-15 years ago, and the game design shows its age. GBC games are only a few years old, and even if though the specs of the GBC were less than ideal, a lot of companies managed to make some extremetely fun games on the platform.

I dunno, man. If you had an Xbox, you could get any game that was multi-platform ported, guaranteed. :P

polishing up? :) mike was involved with atari retro - which, also uses SHARK. its just a natural progression to actually go ahead and do an update to Liberty. :)

RE: Liberty and then some
No one need worry about the speed of the Native ARM "Liberty". I'm sure we'll have no trouble getting it to run at fullspeed. Atari Retro runs at 60 FPS for the emulator core (while screen updates are at 20 FPS).

P.S. We are also almost finished with yet another SHARK product - MomentumGame's Pocket Mini Golf.

RE: Freedom and then some
Bosco, this isn't some privledge that they give to anyone (like the Handango Game of the Year award *g*). You should be proud. Good luck in your programming.

How about SNES emulator?
Gotta finish that Chrono Trigger. The best SNES RPG ever IMHO.

RE: How about SNES emulator?
That is good news...what is the link to his site please? I love snes9x great emulator with great filters hopefully they make the graphic filters work for palm os. Hopefully it will work with my zire 71.
I do agree with the previous posters regarding the lateness of the Liberty arm native version. How long has os 5 been out? Gambit Studios has no excuse for the delay. They may be worried about pirate proofing their software as they have tried to in the past. I bet aaron ardiri is involved.
Cheers :-P
Used to be visoredgeman then visorprismman, now zire71man!
RE: How about SNES emulator?
Only so much programming can be done in a single day :)
(But I guess it's easy to critisize, isn't it?)
RE: How about SNES emulator?
of course i am involved.
in regards to the delay with any product development at Gambit Studios - the reality is that "paid" contract work always gets priority over the fun/hobby projects. mike has been quite busy over the last few years with mobilewizardry and associated development projects (in addition to mikes own projects) which basically meant that Liberty didn't have the highest prority.
we also wanted to wait for the maturing of SHARK before we started Liberty. we proved the concept with Atari Retro - covering all the basics and getting the code verified and certified. porting Liberty is just a simple task now - GameBoy and GameBoy Color are just the beginning.. GameBoy Advance is also being planned - but, we have to prioritize our development now.
