Nice, but pricy

Given the fact that here in Spain they're selling the 600 at up to € 700, I just don't dare imagine how much will this cost...

It is called local distributor margins and EU support taxes. Try getting an unlocked unit in the states and put your SIM chip in it.

Yes, unlocked, but most locked phones come out at a fraction of the unlocked cost in the UK. Eg. you can get the PDA2K AKA Blue Angel AKA Orange SPV-2000 for £150 with a contract, compared to £575 unlocked.

Can anyone tell me why the Treo 650 cons $699 in the US but € 729 = $ 959.73 in europe ?

This is a difference on $260, why ???

Because Palm does not give a ** about European market.

American tech is usually a lot more expensive in Europe. Part of it comes from the exchange rates, since the US dollar is in a continual state of crash these days.

Empansys is selling them for £209 with a Vodafone contract (Delivery estimate 17 March)

Lets hope Orange put it out at a similar price.
