RE: Carrier
Since you are on Sprint, I am afraid it will cost you. The Plan is called PAM or Phone as a Modem. Last I heard it was a $40.00 extra to use this feature (unlimited). Sorry to bring bad news.....

RE: Carrier
No, actually by using this product or PDA Net you will avoid the Sprint monthly tethering fee. If you tether using Sprint's procedures/software, then you will have to pay the $40/mo. Therefore, the product pays for itself within the first month of use.
Palm Centro as a modem- stream video?
I have only tried the trial version of a couple of theses programs, but am unable to stream video on my laptop when I use my centro as a tethered modem. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not capable of this (I can stream on my actual phone?). Thanks :) Lisa
Palm Centro as a modem with Vista 64 bit
Will this software work on a Windows Vista 64 bit computer? I have a Sprint based Palm Centro and the software driver for the Hot Sync manager won't work on a Vista 64 bit system laptop-Sony Vaio. I want to try this software for the USB Modem for Palm OS if it will work on 64 bit Vista.
More on Palm Centro as Modem
I was able to get the Hot Sync connected by using BlueTooth through help from the Palm online chat help. Now I will try to download this USB software to use the Palm Centro as a modem and try to bypass using Sprint. How do I bypass using Sprint and avoid signing up for the $40 a month service. How do I sign on using the USB modem software?
RE: More on Palm Centro as Modem
I had this installed on my Win Vista notebook 32-bit configuration using Treo 800w through Sprint. There were no issues with using PDANet, it was completely free, no tethering fee with this software. You can download the Palm / Win Mobile version here. www.junefabrics.com
The problem I have now is that I just swapped the laptop for a Dell 64-bit Win Vista setup. The PDANet installer wouldn't complete, through up a 64 bit error. Urrgghghghgh
Any ideas?
