Comments on: FontSmoother v2.2 Released

FontSmoother - Palm SoftwareAlex Pruss software has released FontSmoother v2.2 for Palm OS devices. FontSmoother enables you to display smooth (antialiased) custom fonts on your Treo, Centro or PDA. It works across nearly all applications on Palm OS 5 devices with 320x320 or larger screens. FontSmoother includes a number of free smooth fonts and comes with a utility that enables you to convert Windows TrueType fonts. Updates in this latest version include better highlighting support on Treo devices and the ability to store fonts on a memory card.

FontSmoother sells for $12.95 USD. There is a free, fully functional 8 day trial, after which all smooth fonts default to their non-smooth versions until registration is completed (except in a few select bible applications).

If you haven't tried Font Smoother, do it now. You won't want to go back to non anti-aliased fonts.

I had some stability problems the last time I used FontSmoother on my TX... Is the recent version supposed to be any more stable?

Tungsten T --> Palm TX --> Foleo-mini??(like an LD-II with a small attached keyboard??)

I use FontSmoother on my T|X for ages, and it's been working flawlessly for ages. Try downloading the latest version and give it another shot, it's one of the indispensable apps in my Palm.
