It's only approved for use on the SingTel network - so you can only get it throug SingTel. If you live in Singapore contact your account rep.

"Sprint Nextel Corp., the nation's third-largest operator, plans to roll out BlackBerry Connect on Palm OS devices next year,(in 2005 they announced) Eric Martin, manager of business device marketing, said in an interview at CTIA. The company is responding to customer requests, he said. Sprint currently offers Palm Inc. Treo handhelds running Palm OS.

"Not everyone is sold on the legacy RIM form factor," Martin said."

My take on this is at least it isn't vaporware.

If you want your carrier to offer it talk to them - as it's the carriers who drive this... if carrier X doesn't want it (or more to the point thinks its customers don't want it) then they won't offer it.

Very interesting that the US carriers would leave this "first in the world" to Singapore... not exactly the largest market in the world...

Thank goodness this isn't just vaporware, after all. Can't wait for it to be available in my neck of the woods. Our IT people have promised me that they will support this through our BB server!!! (They refuse to support anything else for mobile access to corporate email.)
