Will it work with the 650?
Plus, it's not broken.

AT&T - 62.2 million subscribers
Verizon Wireless - 60.7 million subscribers
Sprint Nextel Corporation - 53.6 million subscribers
T-Mobile USA - 25 million subscribers
Alltel - 12.06 million subscribers
(March 2007, numbers provided by the CTIA)
Sorry, man, it's a numbers game. All the companies use different network protocols, firmware, and probably even hardware. The update costs Palm the same amount of money regardless of how many subscribers there are. They simply chose to spend their money where it would have the most impact, and chose to give the others the shaft.

It's nice that Palm is tossing little updates to the suckers that bought and have kept their defective 700p's this long (maybe to avert a justifiable class action suit). But having a fix within a month(s) instead of a whole year for the bluetooth, if not the lag would have shown a little more respect for those subscribers.
Since Palm owns Versamail, this update shouldn't cost them much, if anything, to offer - since the development costs were already written off toward the 755. Still, nice of them to offer SOME fixes to the 700p that don't require a purchase of the Treo 755.
RE: Plus, it's not broken.
So I managed to talk Verizon into sending me a refurb'd 700p with the 1.10 already on it. I just ordered a new Seidio case for my 700p and I'll probably buy another SDHC card and try to ride out another year with it.
I think it's safe to say that a patched 700p with this latest version of VersaMail is FINALLY performing as it should have over a year ago at its release.

Did Palm forget that they 'stopped' supporting Macs?
Which would be fine...if I were using that application, and not Missing Sync.
Oh, and the best part? It installs 6 different language versions of the app, not just English.
Mac users: Do yourself a favor and don't run Palm's installer. Instead, right-click/ctrl-click on Versamail.pkg and choose 'show package contents', click on the 'contents' folder, then unpack the 'Archive.pax.gz' file - you'll get an 'Applications' folder within the package, which contains the six versions and all of the requisite PRC files. Grab what you need, trash what you don't.

PRC?
Why not just give a simple prc file to install? Retarded.
I finally bought a 700p after I read the MR was a pretty good fix. Retarded.
It takes three or four seconds to switch to the phone application. Retarded.
The original VersaMail application rebooted me at least three times a day. Retarded.
I was holding out for a 755p on Verizon, but I realized I wanted a SD card and the antenna (to help get it out of the pouch). Retarded.

It works, but...
Some tense moments programing my hard buttons with 2 programs with the same name. About 5 minutes of my life wasted.
Otherwise, the new app does seem more stable.
