Chuck Graf wrote in about a howto repair guide he crated for the Palm
Tungsten T5 handheld.
Chuck's SD slot broke when he accidentally yanked out the Palm Wi-Fi SD card, instead of pushing it in to eject the card. He has posted a T5 card slot repair guide online for anyone who comes across the same issue and feel's like doing their own warranty void'n repairs.

Medtronic, a Fortune 500 medical technology company, has announced that is has standardized its mobile sales force on Palm Treo smartphones. Employees are using more than 2,000 Treo smartphones as a wireless reference, communication and selling tool to increase sales force productivity and to improve inventory management.

Worldwide PDA shipments totaled 3.65 million units in the first quarter of 2006, a 6.6 percent increase from the first quarter of last year, according to Gartner, Inc. Gartner's numbers primarily reflect handhelds and PDA's (and do not include Treo shipments), however the company does include some RIM smartphone devices that they classify as PDA's with cellular radios.

Palm enthusiasts are second only to Apple enthusiasts in the energy they devote to speculation about what products are coming next. It's no surprise, really. Palm isn't quite as secretive as Apple when it comes to giving information about future product releases, but they do a pretty good job keeping their plans under wraps. That leaves the field wide open to all kinds of theories, based on past history, the occasional word that drops from an executive's lips, or fuzzy images "leaked" by Photoshop mavens.

Opera Software has released Opera Mini v2.0, the new version of the smartphone web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone including the Palm Treo. The new version of Opera Mini supports downloading MP3s, improved bookmarks, saving images and other Web content directly to their mobile device.
