DataViz and Palm, Inc. announced that DataViz's Documents To Go
Professional Edition Version 5 will be included with the new Palm Tungsten T. This is the first Palm OS 5 handheld to ship with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint compatible files in the box.

Kinoma has introduced Kinoma Player 1.5, and Kinoma Producer 1.5, an update to its tool for encoding audio, video, and still images. Kinoma Player provides full screen, full motion video playback with synchronized sound on nearly all Palm Powered handhelds and phones. The Player now features compatibility with the new Palm OS 5® for ARM processors, interactive VR objects and panoramas, and support for the Tungsten T handheld.

Cascata today announced the launch of Master Thief, a new Palm OS game. Master Thief is the first totally original 3D game created for the Palm OS platform, and was produced in conjunction with MobileWizardry using a modified version of their advanced 3D Deity Engine. The game will run in either grayscale or color on Palm OS® 3.3+ and 4.x. A modified version will be subsequently released for OS 5 XSCALE devices.

Palm, Inc. today introduced the Palm Tungsten T handheld. The Tungsten T handheld is the most compact Palm branded handheld on the market today. New features include: a collapsible graffiti slider design, one-handed 5-way Navigation,
an ultrasharp, high resolution screen and integrated Bluetooth.
In addition Palm Inc has also announced the wireless GPRS Tungsten W.

Palm Inc, today introduced the Palm Tungsten W handheld, the first Palm branded integrated GSM/GPRS wireless handheld with a built-in keyboard for easy data entry; one-handed navigation; and a high-resolution color screen. communicators.. While supplies last, customers can purchase a Treo 180 for $249 when they sign up for a service contract from T-Mobile or Cingular. In related news, Amazon is currently running a $250 promotion on the color

PDA owners with a mind for healthy eating can now pull out their stylus and start pointing their way to nutritious food choices. A handheld version of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Nutrient Database listing more than 6,000 food items is now available for download free of charge for Palm OS devices. The searchable nutrient database program will soon be available for download onto personal computers as well.

Sony Japan has announced that it has developed some of the smallest TV tuners designed for PDAs and other mobile devices. When integrated with a mobile device the user would be able to receive and view broadcast television.

GoAmerica has announced it has sold its cellular digital packet data (CDPD) -networked subscriber base to EarthLink, which will continue to offer the wireless service. GoAmerica and EarthLink will work together to ensure a smooth transition of these subscribers and expect to complete the transition by the end of this year. Financial terms of this subscriber acquisition were not disclosed at this time.
