Comments on: App Catalog Returns For Pre Importers
Following up on the other side of webOS geo-restrictions - namely, the way the number of apps available to non-U.S. users was summarily cut in half recently - we got a brief quote from Developer Community Manager Chuq von Rospach on the subject:
We're continuing to work to bring paid apps to all geographies and are working with the developers to make sure their apps get distributed to all regions where it's appropriate.
It's just a question of patience, wethinks...

RE: ATT Experience?
however, you may not get 3G outta the Pre on AT&T - from what i read on the net ATT uses the 850mhz / 1900mhz 3G freqs, and the Pre supports 1900 / 2100.
I don't actually know of anyone who's tried it on ATT yet, although I'd bet there's probably some posts floating around the Precentral forums about it....
RE: ATT Experience?
Reverend - why are you still with AT&T? you like shitty coverage? high prices? nostalgia?
please explain.

RE: ATT Experience?
And for Lizard Boy, the main two reasons are that ATT & VZW are the only two carriers who handle the GA, AL, and north FL sticks where I travel regularly. VZW is just as expensive (if not more) and I hate their past hardware practices. Even tho their 3G coverage is killer, I'll stay with the ATT regime while my family plan contracts muddy the water.
If ATT does not bring the Pre this Jan, then I may pay for the German Pre in 2010.

ATT Experience?
Since, I can't live with switching to T-Mobile's coverage to get the HD2, I might stay a little closer to home and try the Pre. Especially since the OS updates keep flowing from Palm.
