How does Treo compare to RIMM for e-mail forwarding?

I.M. Anonymous @ 10/17/2001 1:35:22 AM #
How does this approach compare to how the RIMM devices work for e-mail? This at a high level sounds like remote control of desktop to forward mail. Seems like having the desktop active is not always reasonable for corperate e-mail where the master is on the server. The desktop might actually be a "laptop" and not available all of the time. - comments?
