Why May 28th....
Palm's fiscal year and last quarter end Sunday May 31st, so they are looking to get revenue (and profit) in the door and inventory out of the door before that.

If you buy an AT&T Centro without a contract, can you unlock it and then use it on T-Mobile or some other GSM network?

Correction: Saturday, May 31st.
Palm receive the orders by Wednesday, can easily ship out by Friday to legally book the revenue and reduce their inventory.
