RE: Unstable in treo 650.
Yes, it's bloated as usual (I miss the 1.0 version which was what - 50k or something?!). The hardware has somewhat progressed, and Actionnames/Agendus has added many interesting features that allow cross communication between the PIMs. Simple to turn a call into a task into a meeting, etc. Now they added scribbling and voice memos - wierd but I might just find a use for them...
Now the big question is... with this and SO many other magnificent applications available already that were optimized for the Treo - when the ^&%* will Palm release a Treo that has any decent RAM available to run a good selection of them? It's only really useless bloatware when the hardware sucks so bad that you can't keep a good selection of these powerful programs in main memory and instead are forced to hack them over to the SD card with Powerrun or just pass on buying them at all.
If Palm releases yet ANOTHER Treo with only about 20-25MB of available RAM then they are basically putting the rest of the nails in their coffin. A little less "Palm Kiosks" and name purchasing, a little more emphasis on EXCEEDING hardware expections and Palm may actually have devices worthy of their name.
RE: Unstable in treo 650.
Is it stable? I've been using it for about 6 actual hours and no problems. I do not use Wallpaper.
With an average of 25 3-way calls daily, life would be difficult without an Agendus / Treo 650 combination.
Now, if only the call-waiting feature of my Cingular Treo 650 worked 100% of the time instead of 60%...
A worthy upgrade

How many versions of this do they release in a year?

Look to SplashData as a company that's the paradigm of timely updates and making sure registered owners get what they pay for, even after upgrading to a newer device.

v10 might be a major upgrade...I dunno, no plans to ever check it out. I've been burned too many times...thanks, but no thanks.
One things for sure, it'll be buggy as hell...no reason that should change. The last version I tried on my Lifedrive was listed as 'Compatable', but I could crash it repeatedly in about 3 secs on a major feature. Total junk. Oh, and to get it fixed? Yeah, its fixed in v10....but not in the version I paid for and was listed as Compatable for the Lifedrive. Geez thanks.
So you sold me a broken product (and it was a major feature), and say I have to pay for an upgrade to get it fixed? Um...I bought it less than 2 months ago...that's the last $ I 'give' to you for nothing.

palmary soft too. not to fast on updates, but when I got palmary clock screensaver v1 in the palmgear giveaway, after a few months, I found an e-mail in my inbox containing my regestration key for palmary clock v3.
I've been playing around with agendus 10, and so far I've had no problems other than it doesn't like being launched into a view other than the one you set. (ex: tap icon, launch in month clocks view, press tasks button, launch in today view).
RE: How many versions of this do they release in a year?
Palm cannot even get its own units shipping with stable bundled software (this means you, Blazer & VersaMail).
Many, many games are broken due to the "new" Treo-style button mapping & navigation of the T5/650/LD/E2 with no hope of being updated anytime soon. It's simply not worth the hassle/cost to the developer.
It's like many apps/games ceased being updated after the big 320*320 (or just OS5) compliance push of '02/'03. The "thousands" of apps that PalmSource & Palm like to tout are more like a "less than a few hundred major titles still being supported for FrankenGarnet"
Palm needs to do a better job of assisting the developer community. I've got reg codes for probably close a dozen or more titles I registered in less than three years (basically, since I got my first T|T) that won't run at all or aren't reliable on a T5-era device. Basically, I won't buy anything anymore unless it comes from someone with an established track record for issuing updates (SplashData, Astraware, DataViz).
Win XP has a compatability mode for running legacy DOS & Win 9x programs. Why can't POS do this? At least offer a prefs screen to switch between Treo-style navigation and classic OS5-navigation (where the center button being held brings you back to the main launcher) as well as being able to revert back to "compatible" hard button layout? Things like Zires having fewer hard buttons likely have caused headaches from someone upgrading from an m500 to a Zire 31.
RE: How many versions of this do they release in a year?
Regarding SplahData. I registered version 3 or 4 of the SplashWallet suite and was able to upgrade to version 5 for only $10!
