Comments on: AppForge Folds, Assets Sold to Oracle
Mobile Development software provider AppForge went out of business and shut down its services late last month. New reports this week confirm that Oracle has purchased the intellectual property assets of the former company.
Atlanta-based AppForge was founded in 2000 and provided tools for Visual Studio developers to create comprehensive on-device mobile applications for Palm OS, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices. Its main features included translation of Visual Basic .NET and C# apps to mobile systems, custom cross platform applications, on device debugging and support for many of the latest Palm and Treo devices.
