Original NES Nintendo emulation is now possible if you can brave the developer mode switch and follow a few recompile and configuration instructions. Basically, it works by installing a native Linux version of the FCEUltra NES emulator from within a Debian chroot. Head over to this wiki page for the step by step. Interesting stuff, indeed!
I hope that one of the things the people involved in this will work on next is finding a way to lock down the security a little bit more. Hacking your own Pre easily is good. Someone else being able to hack your Pre easily is bad.
