Palm to Sell New PDA in Japan
Reuters is reporting that Palm will create a new PDA for the Japanese market. Also, Kazuki Furuya of Palm Inc. said, "We are planning to offer a Palm-based wireless Internet service in the first half of next year," This device and service will reportedly link Palm with NTT DoCoMo, Japan's dominant mobile phone carrier. Furuya also said the device will use packet transmission technology and that the monthly service should cost less than 4,000 yen.
