Palm Developer Platform VP Departs

Another Palm VP has left the company. According to paidContent.org, David Temkin, VP-developer platform for Palm Inc., has now left to head up the mobile department at AOL.

According to his bio Temkin's role at Palm was to lead the team responsible for the webOS App Catalog, the webOS SDK and various Palm developer resources.

They seem to be trying to remake themselves as a media company. There was a story a couple of months ago about AOL hiring unemployed journalists as bloggers and they provide a lot of bandwidth to podcasters.

If they're leaving for AOL Palm must be hurting good. Maybe he didn't want to design software for toasters.

Or maybe all these vp's leaving know HP is going to (sooner rather than later) chop Palm into itty bitty pieces.
