Handspring is now offering the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Digital Link CDMA springboard for free. One simply needs to pay the cost of shipping and a service plan with Sprint PCS. The springboard turns any visor with a springboard slot into a fully functional mobile phone with wireless web access. In addition the Visorphone, which operates on GSM networks, has also been available for free with serice activation for some time.
ANNC: Temporary High Traffic Overload Mode
PalmInfocenter is now running in a temporary, overload mode due to very high traffic. News stories will only display the top 50 comments in order to ease the load on the server and keep the site running smoothly for everyone. As the situation improves we will bring back comments in thier entirety. I am also hard at work on some server/code optimizations. You can still post & view comments, but when a story has more than 50, only the first 50 will display.
Rumor: Additional Pic and Details on the Palm Tungsten T

Quickies: m505 on Sale, QCP-7135, Zire 8MB & More
PIC Reader adimiron writes, I've been hounding the local Verizon Wireless retailer about the Kyocera 7135 and tonight was rewarded. The Verizon rep confirmed that I would be able to buy the phone in 6 weeks (no exact date was given, though shipments apparently come in on Fridays). It was said that the price would be set at around $600 without a new activation. Nothing was said about a discount for new accounts.
