Comments on: LineUp Brings Widgets to the Palm OS
The 2.1MB application file unfortunately does not include any widgets, users will have to download each one individually from the developers website. There are 23 widgets available at this time, with almost all of them being relatively simple rss headline displays from popular news sites. The non-headline widget choices include a fortune cookie and magic eight-ball simulator. The company lists a weather display and world clock among the upcoming releases. The website seems to indicate plans to release tools for third party widget development, so hopefully the current limited selection will eventually improve.

OK then. You just saved me the trouble of trying it on my rotten-assed LD. Thanks for the warning!

Thirty bucks for a glorified RSS reader. Come on guys.
By the way, I received my Black Friday Palm TX and the keyboard is suppose to arrive tomorrow. Feels so good to have my TX back again. First thing I did though was to put it in this: http://tinyurl.com/2ozcxt Well after slapping a screen protector on it of course. I'm glad I had my old trusty Tungsten T as a backup but the bigger screen of the TX makes for a much more enjoyable experience.
PDA's Past and Present:

Hey, Gekko! Is Nagel in charge of this?
avantgo/rss mashup?
But... maybe that's exactly what a lot of Treo users are looking for. Slick/quick access to news feeds in a not-so-boring UI
