Comments on: June 7th Pre Release Date Looking More Likely

Palm PRE DOAEvidence gleamed from rumors and various leaks keep adding credence to the probability that June 7th is the most likely timeframe for the Palm Pre's public release. The latest tidbit comes from Best Buy's inventory system courtesy of engadget. The same screen detail that first showed the Touchstone kits price, has now been updated to show a 06-07-2009 'In Stock Date.'

This latest disclosure adds to the string of leaks that mention the June 7th timeframe. There is also a new tip from BGR that Sprint may announce something in the Wall Street Journal on next Tuesday, May 19th.

Possible.

But, what if they announce a micro SD slot, 32GB onboard, voice recording, 1024x768 video capture @ 90fps, and embedded YouTube compat, all for $19.95 w/ 1 year contract?

You never know.

... that they have successfully put one on the Palm employees on Mars. What then?!! Wow, think of all the possibilities.

Hey Palm! Where's my PDA with Wifi and phone capabilities?

I don't think Sprint's coverage is that good there is it? Maybe VZW.

Well, it's true that the roaming fees suck and you have to yell "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW" much louder than usual.

Sprint to Verizon Sequence

hgoldner @ 5/12/2009 12:23:19 PM # Q
What I find interesting is that when the 755p was coming out, the Sprint version was announced mid to early spring 2007 and at that point we already knew Verizon was going to get the unit (we just didn't know when). The Verizon model trailed the Sprint model by about 6-7 months.

This time we know the Sprint version will be out in just under a month, but there are next to no rumors regarding a Verizon WebOS version.

I find this perplexing, and not a little disappointing. If the Pre is going to lead Palm back from the land of the dead, how do they expect to do it on the back of such a weak partner alone?
