Innopocket Cable

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/21/2002 8:50:36 AM #
I just got one of the Brando cables for the T Series (http://shop.brando.com.hk). This cable looks identical (comparing it to the picture on innopocket web site). This is really essential for a traveling user of a T series (especially the T615C, which eats power).

Kudos to Innopocket for coming up with this cable. Why doesn't Sony provide this sort of cable out of the box? Don't they care about their users? Why won't they support their own product? If Sony continues to neglect its users in this way they are history.

charging usb cables

For those people who already have charging usb cables of one sort or another, does your laptop have to be on in order for the PDA to be able to draw power from the usb ports with this?

Yes. No power goes to the USB ports when it is off.

Such a cable is for sale at http://www.pocketgames.jp. It is $30 via PayPal, this includes shipping from Japan. I got mine in less than a week! It works with my T615c just fine.

Brando might have a cable too.

I got an email from innopocket saying they'll be coming out with a serial cable soon. Not soon enough. Right now I'm backing up my Franklin Covey software data at work, emailing it back home and then restoring and syncing at home. Pain in the fanny!

Come on innopocket!

OS 4 for older Palms

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/21/2002 12:31:06 PM #
What were some of the improvements for OS 4.x again? I've heard it is faster, and you get the updated APIs so that newer apps will work, but what else is there?

It's $25. $19 plus $6 S&H.

An i think it comes from Hong Kong, same as with Brando.
